.....With most of the Shut Down 2 fans on board ? I'm assuming on the annual group trip to Bruce's knee surgeon to worship at the alter of the man who changed BB fandom forever......in any case everyones gone......just.....gone

Never seen it so quiet...same on the other boards.

Has the dream finally died ? Have we said all there is to say ? Where has everyone gone to ? Its weird...

Noticed it too...but I think most everybody's just "waiting" for something new.  Be it the Gershwin or the Disney deals.

I've been trying to locate the Carnival of Sound on iTunes, but no luck there.  They DO have the "Rainy Day" disc but I scarfed that up years ago..

Well, with the KokoMaoists  Shocked loose on other boards its not safe to stick your head up without getting it knocked off by a Sunkist Beach Ball or a 45 year old, 10'6", decayed Velzy with GT racing stripes. Better to keep quite than suffer the wrath of the "global moderator".

I think a lot of people moved on on the various occasions the board 'shut down'.  And I think Mikie had a point about the content of part of the board annoying people.  What happened to him, anyway?

Strange thing is, if you browse the list of members, he's not there. If you use the search for a member tool though he is listed - it says he last made a post on 23/12, 'I am going outside, I may be gone for some time ...'

Why can I see Topg's avatar but not mine?

The various crashes. The fact that most of the boards have dropped off. Sure, the image this place's predecessor eventually had for crankiness bordering on hostility.

The odd thing to me - and Mikie, if you're lurking, I mean this but not in an entirely unflattering way - is that Mikie complained about a lot of stuff with some validity, and yet perpetrated it as well. Bung? Same goes for you.

It could be that the quality of this board made it last beyond similar ones. See The Byrds. But ultimately, message boards about rock bands are so 90s.

Its a good point Textus.....especially as all the hostile stuff has gone...I think of this as a place to talk to friends with a common theme...I've learnt as much about other music I have never heard of before and people like you offering different views on music I have listened to but forgotten.

Like Mr Patel and my new fav band...Midlake..... I'd miss this place

I've been here through all 404 errors.

Come to think of it, does Suze still hang out here?

How 'bout Mike Love's wardrobe attire in the 70's? Not too shabby, I say.
